SPC is committed to helping those left in the wake of Hurricane Dorian, and many of our SPC families have asked how they can help. The answer: donate to organizations such as the American Red Cross and the nonprofit SolRelief.
SPC President Tonjua Williams opened the conference, encouraging the women to take ownership from their current position while pursuing their goals.
“SPC made community service part of my education by teaching me the impact each individual can make on others by just offering a helping hand,” said SPC student Kristy Mizzi.
Many of our faculty members strive to nurture this set of values set forth by the college, and so SPC has designated ten instructors as great examples of civic and community engagement in their subject areas.

St. Petersburg College continues to strengthen its commitment to Community Engagement through its fourth Annual MLK Days of Service.
Some students volunteer for credit and some for scholarships, but for Chikara Park volunteering has always been an act of love. “Community service to me isn’t just going out to organizations and helping. It goes deeper than that. It’s going out, making a difference, and seeing the difference.”
SPC Faculty and students spent this past Saturday in Clearwater cleaning up the city’s horse trails.
Following the devastation of Hurricane Michael, St. Petersburg College collected more than 1,000 pounds of supplies that were loaded onto the Titan team bus and transported to the Panhandle.
