Play the Game of Life: St. Pete Gibbs Campus

Game of Life board game

If you could look into your future, would you do it? Come play the Game of Life and get a window into your possible future based on the decisions you make in the next few years.

The Game of Life: What Will You Choose?

What career will you choose? How much money will you make? Will you start a family? How many children will you have? Will you buy a house or rent? What kind of car will you drive? What financial hurdles will hit you along the way? How will these hurdles effect your financial standing? Join us to play a life-size version of this classic game.

There is no need to RSVP. Just drop in!

Date: Thursday, January 31

Time: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Location: St. Petersburg Gibbs Campus, SS Lobby (*food in the quad*)

Choose an occupation and then build your life by visiting nine stations.

  1. Career decision
  2. Education
  3. How will you pay for your education
  4. Will you marry and have kids
  5. Roadblock or reward
  6. Housing
  7. Transportation
  8. Health and wellness
  9. Put it all together: Can you afford your life?

Each station will provide relevant information including college and outside resources available to students. If you are not sure of your major or career path, this is a great way to try one out and explore a scenario. If you ARE sure, then come get a look into your crystal ball.

St. Petersburg College students from all campuses are welcome to join us for this fun interactive game. Once you finish the game, stay and enjoy a catered lunch and share your future with fellow students. Was it what you thought it would be? Are there some changes you might like to make based on what you learned?

If you have any questions, feel free to email Leah Deranian, Student Support Specialist for Career Services at the St. Petersburg Gibbs Campus. We look forward to seeing you there. Bring your SPC friends!
