St Petersburg College is making a global impact by partnering with international manufacturer Monin, the world’s largest producer of gourmet sauces, syrups and purees. This family-oriented company started 100 years ago and now manufactures more than 140 products in facilities in Malaysia, Europe and now in Tampa. Advancing supply chain employees through SPC
Jones believes it’s not just about the growth in the product but the advancement of the employees. Monin’s partnership with St. Petersburg College LINCS Supply Chain Management program helps them find employees with advanced industry training.
Between 2010 and 2020 jobs in logistics are estimated to grow by 26 percent according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The LINCS (Leveraging, Integrating, Networking, Coordinating Supplies) program is funded with $24.5 million from the U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT grant to support national supply chain management education and training needs.
