Job Fair blog photo

Seminole Campus will be hosting their annual Job Fair on Tuesday, October 23. Doors open at 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the Conference Center located next to the library. This year the campus will host 30+ employers from all over the Tampa Bay area. They will be looking to fill full time, part time, and internship positions.

The Job Fair will be held at the St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus:

The great thing about a SPC Job Fair is that it is open to students, alumni and the community, with opportunities available for just about every major. These employers have multiple opportunities available across several departments.

This is an unbelievable chance to speak directly with hiring managers and recruiters to secure a career in your field of study. It will also serve as an excellent source of information for those who are still exploring degree and career options.

At the Job Fair you can:

  • Meet local employers
  • Explore internship opportunities and future careers
  • Find a full time or part time position
  • Practice your employability skills in the Ready Room

Whether this is your first Job Fair, or you’re an established professional, it can be challenging to approach employers and strike up a conversation.  Luckily for SPC students, Career Services is here to help! Career Services  are available for online and face to face appointments. It’s easy to connect with us. We also host a number of workshops and career readiness related events  to get you prepared and connected with employment and internship opportunities.

And don’t forget about the Ready Room! This space is just for students and alumni and is located right near the sign-in table for the Job Fair. The Ready Room will be staffed by SPC Career Services representatives who will help with last minute tips you need to help set you apart from the competition and make a lasting impression.

Speaking of application deadlines, NASA offers another unique experience for students through a program called the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS). It is offered specifically to community college STEM students. According to the website, the NCAS gives community college STEM students an authentic NASA experience and encourages the student to complete their college training in a NASA-related field for a potential career. You’ll need to act fast if you want to take advantage of this opportunity. The application for the spring session is now open and closes this month on Dec. 15! The link for more information about this program directs you to Oklahoma State’s website, but we have been assured that the program is open to everyone.
