St. Petersburg College’s LINCS Supply Chain Management Program recently awarded its 100th certification for SCPro Fundamentals in supply chain management to Kara Hall, PGT Customer Service Representative.
Kara completed the LINCS Customer Service Operations class, offered by St. Petersburg College, and passed the corresponding certification exam. In addition to earning the national industry certification, which is certified by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Kara also holds an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Practical Ministry.
When asked how she felt about the LiNCS Program, Kara stated there was great value in the course.
“It brought greater clarity to some business terms that I was already familiar with and introduced other concepts – such as legal information – that will be very important for me to understand as I move forward in my career,” she said.
As a working professional, Kara found that the course material and format fit well with her full-time schedule. Kara enrolled in the LiNCS certification class with two colleagues, Brittany Watkins and Kayla Woods; all three completed and earned the SCPro Fundamentals Customer Service Operations certification together.
Prior to joining PGT in March 2015, Kara managed an online store that sold refurbished technology devices.
“That’s where I really learned all the in’s and out’s of good customer service, including always striving to go the extra mile!” she said.
Kara puts forth this same effort and positive attitude in her role as Customer Service Representative at PGT, where she assists hundreds of local Florida distributors with placing orders for windows and doors.
