St. Petersburg College’s Music Industry Recording Arts program welcomed The Sessions to The Palladium on Tuesday, Feb. 27 to speak to students, staff and the community about what it takes –besides musical talent – to make it in the music business.
Students were given the opportunity to present digital, analog, and alternative process prints to Bill and Jenifer Renninger, local artists, photographers, and this year’s jurors of the student exhibition “Interim Domain.”
St. Petersburg College Music Industry and Recording Arts and The Sessions are co-hosting a music industry panel discussion with special guest Chick Corea on Feb. 27 from 5 – 10 p.m. at The Palladium at St. Petersburg College. This event is FREE for SPC students. A $5 donation from the public is requested, with proceeds benefiting the college’s MIRA program.
The Career Services Department at St. Petersburg College’s Gibbs campus is hosting a Career Exploration Workshop for Arts and Humanities majors, or for those considering a career in the arts or humanities field.

St. Petersburg College’s Music Industry Recording Arts student Vincent Demor recently won the distinguished 2018 National Association of Music Merchants President’s Innovation Award.
Anyone can donate gently used musical instruments at several SPC campus locations from Nov. 27 – Dec. 1. The instruments will be refurbished by Recycled Tunes and then donated to Pinellas County Schools’ music programs. All donors will receive a ticket to the 2018 Gasparilla Music Festival.
The St. Petersburg College Theater Department has announced theater auditions for its upcoming play, LAUGHING STOCK, by Charles Morey. Auditions will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, and Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 5 pm in the Arts Auditorium on the Clearwater Campus.
