St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus Spring Job Fair 2017

Looking for job? Want to connect with employers from you field?  A great place to start is the St. Petersburg College Spring Job Fair. On March 16, 2017, from 12-2pm the St. Petersburg/ Gibbs Campus will be hosting a Spring Job Fair. Attendees will have a chance to interact with 20+ employers from around the Bay Area. The employers attending the fair come from a wide array of fields such as I.T., non-profit, retail, and law enforcement to name a few. These employers will be recruiting for part-time, full-time and seasonal workers. Even if you’re not in the market for a new job, this is a great event for networking with potential employers.

“Prepare for the Fair”

Are you ready to meet your new boss? Prior to the job fair, Career Services will be hosting an “Employer Meet and Greet- Prepare for the Fair” workshop. This workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 28th from 12:30-2pm in the Career Services Hub- SA135. This workshop is designed to help students prepare to “Meet and Greet” potential employers at the job fair. Highlights of the workshop will include: How to give an Elevator Speech, Resume Review and Making a Good First Impression. Make sure to bring a copy of your resume and work on your elevator speech.

Community Involvement

Do you know someone looking for a job who is not enrolled in St. Petersburg College? Feel free to invite them out to the job fair. The St. Petersburg/ Gibbs Campus Spring Job Fair is open to not only SPC students but to the community as well.

Health Science Student Experience Showcase

At the end of the semester, the College of Health Sciences held a Student Experience Showcase reception. This included student displays of their projects as well as refreshments.

 The event highlighted the accomplishments of students who have worked on individual and groups projects through-out their program including a final Capstone project working with a mentor in the community.
