The Year Up Tampa Bay inaugural class, which launched in February 2019, is already celebrating a success! Cierra Lynch, who was part of the first cohort of students in the program, started a new job with Chase Bank in October.
After six months of participating in Year UP Tampa Bay‘s Learning Development phase, Lynch earned an internship with Chase Bank. She excelled in her money handling and customer service from the very beginning. Her branch manager, Lorelei Drake, said Lynch completed her bank procedures and online training ahead of schedule and was fast-tracked to managing her own cash drawer significantly earlier than planned.
Located on the campus of St. Petersburg College’s Midtown Campus, Year Up offers an intensive, one-year program for young adults, ages 18-24, combining professional coaching, hands-on skill development, and internships at some of America’s top companies.
Lynch exemplifies the drive, commitment, professionalism and superb customer service that Chase Bank desires in all of their hires, and as soon as there was an opportunity, they reached out to offer her an Associate Banker position, which she started on October 21. We are very proud to see Lynch conquer her goals!
