SPC’s College of Education proudly announces Dr. Robert Raze’s appointment to the Education Operating Committee for Project Learning Tree. His three year term will begin in January 2016.
“The Education Operating Committee is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and strategy development in connection with American Forest Foundation education programs, including Project Learning Tree, GreenWorks!, and GreenSchools,” according to Kathy McGlauflin, Senior Vice President of Education for Project Learning Tree. “The mission of the committee is to develop opportunities to further the understanding of natural resource management and complex environmental issues among youth and their families – working with educators, resource management professionals, youth leaders, citizen conservationists, and others in cooperative projects.”
Under the direction of Dr. Robert Raze, College of Education students participate in the Project Learning Tree field trip, every year. Dr. Raze’s experience and contagious enthusiasm is transmitted to students who come back from this field trip excited and full of new ideas they cannot wait to put into action in their own class.
The College of Education is proud to have Dr. Raze as one of the full-time faculty members.
