A Role Model Like Me Is Important In Teaching

“We need minority teachers,” said Dr. Susan Blanchard with SPC’s College of Education. Minority students need to see teachers who look like them because, according to a recent study, it reduces their chances of dropping out and increases the number who plan to attend college. The Scholarship for Minority Teacher Education (MTES) is now open for Spring 2018 applications and will close Nov. 1, 2018. See if you qualify.
