SPC and the Association of Florida Colleges

Francine Fuentes, Administrative Services Specialist, represented St. Petersburg College at the Student Development Commission (SDC) for the Association of Florida Colleges recently.

The mission of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) is to unite Florida’s 28 state colleges and advocate for them in the Florida legislature.

The SDC was recently named the  2015 Commission of the Year at the 49th Annual AFC Commission in Orlando, Florida.

In addition to her role as the Historian for SDC, Fuentes presented a workshop titled How to Make a Difference in a Student’s Life.

“Being a part of this conference is an honor,” said Fuentes. “Making St. Petersburg College proud is very fulfilling”
