U.S. Geological Survey’s Coastal and Marine Science Center Needs An Intern

imagesCA2U4EY4The U.S. Geological Survey’s Coastal and Marine Science Center is looking to fill a part-time (12-32 hours/week) student position beginning in the Summer 2013 lasting until the end of the Fall semester, with possible extension. We are looking for a student who has completed some college, with a minimum of an Introduction to GIS course and experience with ARC GIS. The student will create HTML-based GIS data publications, post-process lidar point-cloud data, and create metadata for lidar datasets. Familiarity with GIS software and remote-sensing software packages is preferred. Basic knowledge of geoscience is a plus. HTML and metadata experience is a plus.
