Just What Is Mechatronics, Anyway?

mt

Were you fascinated by Legos and Transformers as a kid? Are smart gadgets your favorite impulse purchase now?

If so – then we have a forum you need to attend!

February 24th is the Tampa Bay Mechatronics Forum. SPC’s Clearwater Campus. 2465 Drew Street, Clearwater, FL 33765. It’s from 8:00-11:30 am.

What is Mechatronics, you ask? It’s the “integrated methodology for designing products that exhibit fast, precise performance.”, and the high tech career of the future.  Mechatronics is the process behind how smart devices are created and assembled. In the past, a mechanical engineer designed a physical product and then software and electrical engineers add their pieces to that. Now, a mechatronics engineer is the leader and project manager who puts products together into an integrated design process.

Examples of mechatronics products:

–          Anti-lock brakes

–          Photocopiers

–          Humidity sensitive clothes dryers and windshield wipers

So… Transformers, Activate your career today by coming to this forum and joining this wave!
