Take advantage of the many opportunities to gain experience and build your resume this summer by completing an internship. Many of St. Petersburg College’s academic programs offer credit internship or co-op courses through partnerships with local businesses. Researching and knowing where you want to intern will help you find the right place to utilize the skills you learned in the classroom. Networking and connecting with professionals will increase the opportunities for locating internship and employment opportunities. A solid professional resume can help you get that interview. Good interview skills will help you land that internship.
Step 1: For a college credit internship, check your program to see if you completed your prerequisites.
Step 2: Complete the Internship Application.
Step 3: Polish your resume and interview skills.
Step 4: Begin searching for opportunities.
The SPC Career Services team offers several workshops and webinars where you can learn more about researching, networking, resume development and interviewing. These are the building blocks that help you develop your plan to succeed.
