The Career Services team recently moved to the newly remodeled Student Services Center at St. Petersburg College’s Seminole Campus. Many of you have probably noticed that the construction next to the UP Lobby has been completed and we are so excited. Career Services is now located just inside the set of glass doors to the right.

The Student Services Center at Seminole is also home to the Business Office, Financial Assistance, Academic Advising, Accessibility Services, Women on the Way, and the Testing Center.

What is Career Services?

Career Services is a valuable resource for students who are seeking help with choosing a career path, preparing for a new career or finding an internship or job.

Whether you need help with a resume, improving your interviewing skills, applying for internships and jobs, or seeing a career advisor to make sure your MLP is on track with your career goals, the Career Services staff is ready to assist you. We encourage students to stop by to see us or call 727-394-6041 to make an appointment with one of our career professionals.

Events in Fall 2016

Career Services also hosts events for our students and alumni. A new Career Services opportunity being held this fall will be Transfer Tuesday.

Melissa Anstadt, an SPC Career and Academic Advisor, said, “On Tuesdays from 12 – 2 p.m., career advisors will staff information/advising tables in the UP Lobby. Students will have the opportunity to meet with the career advisors to have a graduation audit completed, ask questions regarding SPC Baccalaureate programs and transfer institutions, and apply for graduation.”

“A few of the Tuesday dates will include not only the Career Services staff, but faculty from the career and academic communities at SPC,” she also said. The first Transfer Tuesday event will be held on Sept. 13 in Fall 2016.

Working Wednesdays will also start up again this fall from 12 – 2 p.m. in the UP Lobby. The first Working Wednesday event will be held on Sept. 7. Students can visit Working Wednesday events to learn about the latest job and internship opportunities and information on career topics with a different theme featured each week.
