Outlook

Based on the type of equipment used in your job, you can specialize in general radiography, computed tomography scans (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or mammography. Nationally, employment of radiologic technologists is expected to grow by 28 percent through 2020, faster than the average for all occupations as an increasing aging population experiences more medical conditions, such as fractures.
