After a long night out you get home and you can’t stop thinking about everything that happened. So without hesitation, you click on that app and you pour your heart out as you update your status. #somuchfun, right?

Well, let me ask you this… What if that hiring manager got a hold of that information? Would they still consider you for that dream job you just applied for?

As great as those 4 steps seem right there in the moment, they can quickly turn into the perfect recipe for a complete career disaster.  Many employers now just google potential interview candidates prior to scheduling interviews and they can discover all sorts of things about you.  Did you just make a not so nice comment about your current employer in your status update?  Did you post an unflattering picture of you and your friends from Friday night?  These are just some of the mistakes you can make in the new digital age!
