SPC’s Internship Office has a number of great opportunities in the Tampa Bay area posted on Optimal Resume. The college offers the online tool to help link employers with college candidates.

Local companies are looking for marketing and graphic design students. The Florida Division of Emergency Management is seeking applicants, providing invaluable work experience as the state’s hurricane season approaches.

Then there is the chance to participate in the theater community at American Stage or get experience in drafting in solid works at Space Machine & Engineering Corp. If you are a C++ programmer interested in telemedicine, we know of an employer who is looking for you!

SPC internship coordinators also can provide students with resources for internship opportunities both around the state and the country.

In Sarasota, there are video game/writing internships, web/PHP developer positions with Booty Gaming in Siesta Key or entrepreneurial assistant positions with RJG Publishing. In Central Florida, there are opportunities with Disney Professional Programs such as an aquarium/marine biology internship.

Internship opportunities around the country include openings in areas such as film and radio, KevStal Group in Boston is looking for a storyboard artist to work on a featured film. UNregular Radio in Boston wants an audio engineering and production student. And, according to Internships.com, Northeastern University is providing short-term, summer housing for students looking for internships in Boston.

Internships are a great way to network and gain work experience, and summer is a great time to intern.
