Are you a passionate Music Industry Recording Arts student, searching for  resources to help develop your talents? Do you have future plans for your musical talents to benefit the local Pinellas County area? Compete now in the MIRA Empowers Students Competition for the chance to win a $500 grand prize!

Competitors must put their passion for music arts on a two page, double-spaced essay. The essay should depict how the MIRA competitor will use his/her musical talents and resources to benefit the local community. All essays will be graded on content and grammar. Submit your essay to the St. Pete Gibbs Campus, Fine Arts Office (HS 118) by Wednesday, October 1st, 2014. Applications and submissions are already being accepted.

Be sure to attend the Arts & Entertainment Speed Networking Event on Thursday, October 9th, 2014 to hear the winner of the MIRA Empowers Students Competition announced! The $500 prize money was raised and donated by the Gasparilla Music Festival in support of their mission to support music education.
