The College of Business at St. Petersburg College (SPC) held a Student and Employer Speed Networking Mixer on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at the SPC Seminole Campus. The event was a packed house, and plenty of connections were made between 150+ students, 22 company representatives, and 14 companies.

The speed networking mixer was a hit thanks to employers, students, and SPC staff as well as the event’s sponsor, Great Bay Distributors Inc. SPC alumna and Vice President of Human Resources at Great Bay Distributors, Sandy Ho, was a featured speaker at the networking event and gave an inspiring welcome speech.

Three high schools brought over 125 students to the event. One of the schools was one of SPC’s Promise Scholarship schools. The schools included:

  • Gibbs High School
  • Northeast High School’s Academy of Finance
  • Indian Rocks Christan School

Career Readiness Navigators assisted 100-plus students and community members with professional headshots and résumé resources.
