Auditions for SPC students are August 21 and 22 at 5:00-8:00pm for “The Laramie Project” at the Saint Petersburg College Clearwater Campus Arts Auditorium. SPC Theater is excited to announce its high school/college summer musical – PIPPIN. Performances are scheduled for June 28-30.
Broadway World honored the SPC Theater Department’s rendition of Urinetown, naming it as one of the Top 10 local theater performances in 2018. SPC graduate Chelsea Hooker was also highlighted for her stage and vocal performances.
SPC Theater will perform Medea March 27-31 at the Arts Auditorium on the Clearwater Campus. Performances will be March 28, 7:30 p.m., March 30 at 2 p.m. and March 31 at 2 p.m. SPC students, faculty and staff are free; general admission is $10.
Actor Lamman Rucker, who performs in the OWN network series, Greenleaf, will be coming to St. Petersburg to star in the new show, DREAM FOR AMERICA, which will be produced at the Palladium at St. Petersburg College on Jan. 13 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

This fall, 10 St. Petersburg College theater students are working every Friday to build a set for Jobsite Theater’s production of Edgar & Emily. “I thought it was a great way to get students out working in the professional theater world but also be able to educate them on how to work in professional theater,” said Theater Professor Scott Cooper.
SPC Theater audition dates are set for Aug. 21 and 22 for the hilarious farce, Noises Off. Hint: Prepare your best British accent and be ready to make them laugh.
