Information Sessions: Learn More About Human Services at SPC

Human Services discussion with students

The St. Petersburg College Human Services department, led by Dr. Cheryl Kerr, will host two information sessions over the next few weeks for students interested in working in the human services profession.

The events Рone April 26 and the other on May 17 Рare open students who are graduating from high school this spring as well as current SPC students who have not decided on a career and program plan.

SPC’s Human Services degree is a two-year Associate in Science degree with embedded certificates that specialize in addiction studies, youth development,¬† and community health worker. Through close relationships with our advisory board and an on-the-job co-op at the end of the program, students are able to learn about careers in human services first-hand and begin building relationships with professionals in the field.

As a human services professional, front-line workers contribute to their communities in various settings, supporting people with diverse backgrounds to improve their quality of life and get them connected to resources to support themselves and their families.

We welcome you to come to one of our upcoming information sessions to meet Dr. Kerr and learn more about our degree options. The sessions will be held on:
