Science and math careers at SPC

St. Petersburg College’s Science and Mathematics Community serves every SPC student through our degree programs, as well as through the general education and electives course we offer.

Our science and math classes serve as the building blocks to any associate or bachelor’s degree, and can prepare you for a career in STEM fields, which are projected to grow at a larger rate than the average of all other occupations over the next five years.

At the Science and Math Community Event, we will be excited to have an opportunity to meet and connect with our students.

We are going to introduce you to your support systems like faculty, advising and learning support resources. In addition to connecting with one another, we want to showcase our degree options, upcoming events and workshops that will be specifically tailored to our community.

We will  also demonstrate how to connect with the Science & Math Community in Workplace by Facebook.

What is a Career and Academic Community?

SPC has 10 Career and Academic Communities that group similar majors so you can benefit from advisors who are knowledgeable about the degrees and career options of your program, work closely with experienced faculty and connect with like-minded people.
