St. Petersburg College and the City of Largo have partnered to meet the needs for the industry and offer internships. From analysts, to field technicians or in the laboratories, the environmental science industry offers multi-level career opportunities for professionals. Workforce ready to impact the environment

SPC graduates are workforce ready for the science industry at large. The classroom knowledge partnered with the internship experience, creates endless career opportunities. Environment science careers are available with private consulting firms, state and local government, water and waste-water treatment plants and utilities.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics with the United States Department of Labor reported the entry-level education requirement for environmental sciences is an Associate’s degree. The salaries for the professionals start at $40,000 a year.
