The Center for Civic Learning & Community Engagement at St. Petersburg College honored 9/11 with a Day of Service and Remembrance on Thursday, Sept. 11.
In collaboration with Student Life and Leadership, the day included activities across the College, including flag planting, civic volunteer projects and a blood drive, to honor the sacrifices and acts of service that characterize that day in history
The day of remembrance was part of the College’s week of civic and community events. Upcoming events will celebrate the 249th year of the U.S Constitution and National Voter Registration Day.

Tarpon Campus
- 9/11: Campus Blood Drive
- 9/16: Voter Registration Drive
- 9/17: Spirit of Compromise Forum
Gibbs Campus
- Recognition & celebration of first responders at the Titan Volleyball Rally hosted on 9/11.
- Preamble Party @ the Gibbs Student Lounge on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 12 – 1:30 p.m. with League of Women Voters & Supervisor of Elections.
Seminole Campus
- 9/11 – Supporting Veteran Services department for their Flag Planting Event.
- 9/17 – Voter Registration Comes out, Constitution Booklets handed out, Red/White/Blue Cake and partnership with Dr. Douglas Rivero for the Oratorical Contest.
HEC Campus
- 9/11 – Red, White and Blue Cupcakes and flag planting
- 9/17 – Voter Registration Comes Out and Constitution Day Booklets.
Clearwater Campus
- 9/11 Constitution Day/Flags for our Future flag planting
Downtown & Midtown Centers
- 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance
- 9:30 am @ Downtown Student Reading and flag planting
- 1pm-4pm @ Midtown Campus Neighborhood Beautification Service Project
