SPC to offer in-state tuition rates
With the recent devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, SPC President Tonjua Williams has decided that the college will offer in-state tuition rates to displaced students from Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Houston area.

New Student Success Center Celebrates SPC’s Purpose
Local leaders, students, faculty and college officials recently celebrated the groundbreaking for SPC’s new Student Success Center on the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus. The state-of-the-art center will replace the 80-year-old administration center, which was demolished due to its age.

Hurricane Irma has been one of the worst storms that Florida, and the Tampa Bay area in particular, has ever faced. Despite her strength, we have been resilient and are even stronger in the aftermath! I am thankful that I have not received any reports of major harm to any of our students, faculty and staff. She focused on the college’s mission, vision and values and used an interactive poll to help demonstrate SPC’s significant level of influence on students, employees and community.
