  2. Be sure your suitcase is around 35 pounds (not 50) in case you need to fly within India.
  3. Bring patience, openness, flexibility, strong legs and lungs, a desire to learn, and generous spirit.
  4. Spend quality time picking the mind of your tour director! Good learners ask many questions.
  5. Have the tour director from the country you are visiting teach you some of the local language with which to communicate with others.
  6. Ensure that all the money you want to exchange (rupees to dollars) has a date on the back in the center. If not, the money will not be exchanged upon your return to America.
