SPC Spain: Time Spent in Salamanca

Salamanca was an absolutely incredible experience that I’m glad I was able to have. Salamanca is a gorgeous city with such friendly, kind people, so many interesting places to go, and tons of things to do. The time I had in Salamanca with my host family and Estudio Sampere greatly improved my Spanish, but some of the best practice I had was the time I spent simply walking around the city. Mornings spent eating out, shopping, and exploring the Plaza Mayor really forced me into using and growing my Spanish. Salamanca is so rich with history I am happy I got to learn about and see.

The meticulously itinerary made sure we saw it in all its glory. We visited cathedrals, art and jewelry museums, shops, restaurants, the university, and monasteries which truly showcased Salamanca’s history and architecture. Everything was so insightful and interesting, not to mention the excursions we had to the cities of Segovia, Ávila, LA Alberca, San Sebastian, and Biarritz. The French influence present in LA Alberca, the beauty of San Sebastian, the aqueduct of Segovia, and the finger of Saint Teresa in Ávila were just some of the incredible things we got to see. I would go a hundred times over to do it all again simply because of how fun and different everything was.
