In order for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) graduates to work in the state of Florida, they must first pass a licensing exam to earn this credential. Recently, over 35 EMT graduates participated in a EMT exam prep class to help them acquire the best tips and tricks to utilize while studying for this important exam.
The instructor, Kevin Franklin, has been a paramedic for over 20 years, and spent eight hours sharing, teaching, and guiding students during an extensive EMT review. Each student received a comprehensive study guide which included current information available from the National Registry on the National Standard expectations, test-taking strategies, and access to over 1100 questions similar to the National Registry exam.
The EMS Team extends their appreciation to Team Workforce for helping fund part of this initiative. Since industry certifications are crucial for students to be gainfully employed, especially in the health fields, this was the perfect opportunity for a collaboration.
Best of luck to our EMT graduates as they take their National Registry licensing exam!
