MasterCut Tools Donates to Engineering Technology

MasterCut Tools Corp, located in Safety Harbor, recently donated machining tools to St. Petersburg College’s Engineering Technology department. These high precision tools will be used in SPC’s CNC milling machine located in the Collaborative Center for Emerging Technologies on the Clearwater Campus. The milling machine is used to rapid prototype parts in the Digital Design and Modeling specialization of the Engineering Technology A.S. degree. SPC Alumnist and CNC machinist, Ryder Fitzpatrick, worked with MasterCut Tools to arrange the donation.

  1. Hello Nathan. Sorry, SPC doesn’t train machinists. I recommend contacting Pinellas Technical College in Clearwater.

SPC does have a grant for mechatronics training that provides 3 free classes to students. If you are interested, there will be an information session tonight, 8/27/19, at SPC Clearwater Campus, ES-218, from 5pm-9pm. https://www.spcollege.edu/future-students/degrees-training/engineering-manufacturing-and-building-arts/engineering-manufacturing-and-building-arts-short-term-training/mechatronics-electromechanical-technician-training-
