The 2017 Florida Legislature is considering many proposals that reflect the widespread consensus that Florida must reform our criminal justice system. Goals of modernizing Florida’s criminal justice system include advancing public safety, ensuring fairness, efficiency and accountability of the system, and improving the economic prosperity and wellbeing of Florida’s families and communities.  These are truly exciting times for Florida Criminal Justice reform.  What’s under consideration?  What’s around the corner?  How will we measure success?
