The 14th Annual SEmmy Awards took place at the Seminole Campus Digitorium on April 9. St. Petersburg College Digital Arts and MIRA students joined Pinellas County High School students in this annual multimedia competition. Entries spanned across competing categories in Graphic Design, Video Production, Music Composition, Digital Imaging, Digital Photography, Animation, and Video Game Design. This year’s theme was inspired by the band, Queen, and complimented by student performances honoring their music. Congratulations to the following winners:

In addition to the competing categories awards, three members of the St. Petersburg College faculty were awarded a SEmmy in honor of their outstanding contributions. Two of these special tributes were in celebration of retirement. Congratulations to the following faculty members:
Dr. Jonathna Steele, Dean of Humanities and Fine Arts, for his retirement;
Associate Provost Lynda Womer, Seminole Campus, for her retirement;
Mr. Bryan Bowhall, (former) OPS Digital Media, Seminole Campus, for his outstanding contribution to each annual SEmmys event.
