Ready for an opportunity to make more than 30 percent more money? Want to help people stay safe online? The Women2STEM seminar could be your first step toward a rewarding career in information technology!

This four-week seminar starts on July 9 and meets every Saturday until July 30 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus.

Attendees will:

  • learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math from women who are leaders in their fields
  • receive guidance on how to achieve their academic and career goals, along with life management tips from the pros
  • receive a free lunch

Learn what it takes to become an information technology professional with some of the best companies in the Tampa Bay area. Now is the time to move to a career that provides job satisfaction and more money.

Demand in STEM fields

Employers want to hire women for careers in STEM fields. Right now women represent nearly half the workforce but less than a third of STEM fields.

There is a real demand for women in these fields and a paycheck to match. Women in STEM typically make 33 percent more than women in non-STEM fields.

Opportunities in IT

The information technology field is in demand in Florida, and this seminar is your chance to be a part of it.

There is plenty of opportunities within the information technology field. From programming software for the latest computer to keeping businesses safe from hackers, there is something for everyone in IT. This is important work, and a great field to build a career in.
