College of Computer & Information Technology offers $1000 scholarship

One of the first things that comes to mind for students when entering college is, “How will I pay for my education?” Though most students receive funding through financial aid and loans, scholarships are a most-sought-after option by students since they can pay for most, if not all of a student’s education.

St. Petersburg College’s Foundation has over 200 scholarships that students can automatically apply for. The applications will be filtered through all 200 scholarship opportunities, and automatically matched with qualifying scholarships.

Students can submit an application any time. If they receive a scholarship, it will be applied to specific semesters, depending on when they apply.

Not all Foundation scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Students are also awarded scholarships based on academic achievement in specific areas of study and community involvement.

To apply, students need to be enrolled at SPC, since they need an SPC student e-mail address to apply for Foundation scholarships and then fill out the application. A completed application package includes: the application, answers to the essay questions and one letter of recommendation.

This scholarship is for students who have demonstrated merit for academic standing, initiative and leadership within the College.
