Promise Scholarships Mean Opportunity

Many students graduate from high school unsure of how to pay for a degree or credentials that will land them a fulfilling career with good pay. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce the Promise Scholarship, which pays for tuition and fees – after any grants or scholarships are received – at St. Petersburg College for Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or financial aid-eligible certificate programs.

The scholarship is offered to 2023 graduates from Lakewood, Tarpon Springs, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, and Northeast high schools.

To apply, eligible students must:

  • Complete a FAFSA
  • Complete the SPC application
  • Enroll for at least six credit hours, beginning in the Fall 2023 Term following their high school graduation

Requirements to keep the scholarship include:

  • Complete the FAFSA each year
  • Be continuously enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours in both Fall and Spring terms
  • Complete an associate degree or a financial aid-eligible certificate by the end of their third academic year
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA and a successful course completion rate

Scholarships will be disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once an SPC application is submitted, students will be sent the next steps.

If you or someone you know is a 2023 graduate from one of those high schools, learn more about the Promise Scholarships, and how to apply on our website.
