SPC Day is a new yearly celebration on September 12 to honor philanthropy through the support of the SPC Titan Fund! Celebrating SPC Day will offer our college community an opportunity to reflect on the College’s great history, celebrate the achievements of our alumni, students, and faculty/staff, and renew our commitment to support the mission of SPC of changing lives through accessible, high-quality teaching and learning experiences. SPC was founded in 1927 as St. Petersburg Junior College, Florida’s first two-year college. Access, excellence and student support are the hallmarks of St. Petersburg College. Regionally accredited and nationally recognized, SPC was the first state college in Florida to offer bachelor’s degrees. St. Petersburg College offers more than 200 degree, certificate and transfer programs of study, as well as many high-demand, high-skill industry-recognized workforce certifications. We offer a career-focused curriculum created in conjunction with industry experts to ensure our students can meet the needs of today’s employers.
It is always easy to remember and celebrate SPC with the official day being Sept. 12. The College’s Day of Giving is a culmination of shared enthusiasm and generosity aimed at empowering students, faculty/staff, alumni and our community. With a diverse array of campus activities and an engaging online giving campaign, we invite you to join us in making a lasting impact.
Through your contributions, SPC can unlock opportunities, support initiatives, and foster growth across our dynamic educational landscape. Mark your calendars and prepare to be part of something extraordinary as we come together to shape the future of St. Petersburg College and the lives it touches.
