We’re committed. We’re serious. We’re studying abroad! by Anna Faiola

SegoviaSt. Petersburg College (SPC) has committed to double Study Abroad participation from 77 to 154 students by the end of the decade, through the Generation Study Abroad initiative. SPC is one of only three Florida institutions that chose to take the plunge and pledge to double their numbers. Miami Date and Daytona State are joining us in this effort, and we wish them luck!

“The college hopes to accomplish this by both increasing the number of programs and by increasing scholarships provided through the college’s foundation” said Ramona R.W. Kirsch, the director of the Center for International Programs, “last year the college granted a total of $30,700 in awards; this year the college is on track to nearly double that amount.”
