Tips from the China 2016 Study Abroad group!

  1. mmexport1464211506642Must,must,must have comfortable walking shoes! Those strappy sandals just won’t cut it. If you don’t bring the walking shoes, bring plenty of band aids. You’ll need them!
  2. Wear clothes that breathe, as AC is hard to come by throughout the day
  3. Either bring enough clothes to last the trip or be prepared to wash clothes in your sink
  4. Make sure that you bring tissue packs, wet wipes and hand sanitizer.
  5. There’s no need to exchange a lot of currency in the U.S. Instead go to one of the plentiful Chinese ATMs (certain ones are partnered with American banks so reduced/no fee)
  6. Pay very close attention to your professors at all times!
  7. It is important to always have a partner. Walking alone is never a good option anywhere.
  8. Be punctual! This is important for success and happiness for the group.
  9. This is more for females: but the time change can mess with your body, so be prepared!
  10. Be prepared for an awesome adventure every day!
