University of South Florida is hosting The State of Beauty Today – An International Bilingual (French/English) Conference, which will take place on the USF Tampa campus, on Friday Feb. 28 (Library, Grace Allen Room: 9:30am-5:00pm) – March 1st (Marshall Student Center 3705: 10:30am-5:00pm).
This international interdisciplinary conference will address the specific topic of beauty in our contemporary world, especially as it pertains to culture, fashion, design, marketing, art, language, literature, drama and film.
Is there a common ground to define what beauty is today?
The conference will examine how beauty is debated and represented in our global culture. Speakers mainly from France, New Zealand, Canada and the USA will be part of the debate. The conference will be free and open to all. French and English will be the two languages of the conference.
