Today we arrived in Costa Rica. We landed in San Jose around 1:15pm central time. Immediately upon stepping outside of the airport, I realized how different our home is from here. The backdrop is nothing but mountains full of lush forests. Driving the 5 hours from the airport to our destination in Playa Blanca on the Osa peninsula solidified how good we have it in America.
Arriving in rural Costa Rica was another adventure. We found ourselves 5 or 6 girls to a cabin with no air conditioning or hot water. While we were well aware of this before traveling, it was still difficult to adjust to the first night.
All in all, however, the scenery is beautiful, and I am still very excited to be a part of the trip.

How other worldly it seems there in your tropical paradise (and by that I mean large insects and no AC). I am glad you are adjusting well and taking the amazing scenery into account. We are enjoying your descriptions of activities and attitudes along with your lovely pictures. Keep it coming! We are quite curious about all that you all see and do. Be as descriptive as you can to allow us to visualize. Good that you all have Bianca to help out with the language. Best to you all and the turtles!
