Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, and has been celebrated annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany since 1810. Many cities and organizations with German and Bavarian ties across the world also hold Oktoberfest festivities. This exciting late September and early October event is the world’s largest fair, and is one of the most well-known and important events in Munich and around the world.
