On September 19th, St. Petersburg College took a group of students from Clearwater and Gibbs Campuses to the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. They explored specifically the Young Chinese Artist Exhibition which they enjoyed the most. They were interacting with the docent and giving their thoughts and opinions of each piece as they came across it. At the museum, they also explored many exhibitions like the African, Asian, American exhibits.
Here are some of the students’ quotes:
Abdulmhsen Dobi: “It was such a new experience; I really liked the Chinese and the Egyptian exhibitions. The only thing that caught my eyes was one of the Chinese arts that had Middle Eastern countries flags; it was interesting because I could not find a meaning for it.”
Jasmine Shamsi: “I enjoyed the Chinese exhibit the most because it looked fresh from the artist and each one of the art seemed mysteries.”
