Scholarship program for Study Abroad by Edina Kurtovic

Ben Gilman

The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program offers grants and scholarships to U.S. undergraduate students of limited financial means. This program’s goal is to better prepare students to thrive in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world. Monies awarded can be used to cover costs of program tuition, room and board, books, local transportation, insurance, and international airfare.

This academic year, over 2,300 scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to undergraduate students, including community college students, willing to study abroad. The Critical Need Language Award provides additional funds of up to $8,000 when students are studying certain needed languages.
