Rotorua to Auckland

The agenda for our last morning in Rotorua, New Zealand consisted of many different activities that included the Hobbilton Tour, Kiwi Park, and the Agro Adventure Park. I attended the Agro Adventure Park.

Afterwards, the group set off for a three hour bus ride back to Auckland. The bus stopped at Mata Mata for a quick lunch along the way. Once we arrived to Auckland, Wayne, our coach driver, drove us around the city to view the beautiful houses and scenery. We stopped at the top of a hill where there was a huge park area with a spectacular view of the water. The view of the cityscape and volcano were breathtaking.

Afterwards, we arrived at the hotel where we rested for an hour before meeting up with Mick for a walking city tour and dinner. Downtown Auckland was beautifully lit up with sky rises, shopping, and restaurants. We walked along the harbor and enjoyed the views there as well.

Overall, Rotorua was an amazing city with a deep sense of Maori culture that I feel lucky enough to have experienced. I really enjoyed the time spent in Auckland as well and wish we could have stayed longer than one night.
