Hello my name is Olta Celaj. I’m very glad to share one of my greatest experiences here in U.S. I am from Albania, a small and wonderful European country. Albania offers so many great cultural experiences and traditions. I really would like to advice adding Albania to everyone’ s list of places to visit in Europe.
I graduated with an architecture degree in Albania and worked as an architect for 12 years. Being a person who loves new challenges and education, made me decide to come to the U.S. and improve my knowledge in my major. It is very important to share and absorb different cultures. I really feel I have to experience and learn about cultures of different countries, it makes me feel like I am giving something to this world. Everyone has to do that.
The reason I chose to study at SPC was that I found it to be the most prestigious college. It is known to have a wonderful reputation, history and credit classes. Studying at SPC changed me a lot. Being in interaction with different cultures, makes me understand how special these cultures are. It really made me feel more flexible, more valuable and a more positive thinking person. It especially changed me in the aspect that I see how beautiful and colorful life is in various ways.
Five years from now, I see myself as an architect who is practicing and mixing European and American architectural concepts. For me. trying to match these different concept styles and cultures, means bringing the different countries so close to each other. This is very important, if we feel we are part of our world history. It is something special everyone can do for this wonderful world we are living.
