International Language Institute students visit Congo River Golf by Anna Faiola

The Intensive English Program at Corporate Training went on a field trip to Congo River Golf. For most of the students, it was their first experience playing golf. Because the students are from 21 different countries and speak fifteen different languages, it was still a day of English practice! Unexpectedly, one student won the opportunity to hold a live baby alligator. That was very, very cool!

Student Testimonials:

Our day playing miniature golf was great! We had fun interacting with our classmates outside the classroom. I even had the chance to hold a live alligator. It was amazing! –Fayang Li

This was the first time that I touched an alligator; I felt so excited. And that was also the first time I played mini golf, and I think I played really well.   –Wuyang Chong

I had a lot of fun playing golf with my classmates and my teachers. The golf course was attractive and I took some great pictures there which I loved. I never played this game before, and I thought the course was challenging, but not impossible. Unfortunately, I was defeated by my teacher! I will absolutely be back there with my family to share this new American experience with them. –Triet Huynh
