Idag var en god dag :-) by Casey Kiernan

Hallo!

Today we went to Odense Dyrehospital and we were very impressed with the size, efficiency, and cleanliness of the clinic. They board katte, but not hunde. They have many specialists including an oncologist, dermatologist, physical therapist, periodontist, orthopedic surgeon and internal medicine. I’m very impressed with the clinics here and how many physical therapy/rehabilitation rooms we have seen. I think physical therapy is important in helping to guarantee the results of a major surgery or operation.

We saw a foreign body operation, it was the third time this dog had this operation, the first time was a banana in pajamas toy, the next time was a Kong toy, and this time was an uncooked potato. We watched a liver biopsy of a dog with liver cancer, we got to see the cancer on the ultrasound monitor, it was a neat experience but very sad.

After the clinic we drove down to another clinic of the same name, this clinic was located in a shopping mall and was much smaller but still a very nice clinic, with nice equipment and organization. There was a pet store across the parking lot, they do not sell dogs or cats in the pet stores just rodents and fish.

After the clinics we went to Svenborg to see castles and a church. There is a lot of history here. We went in the maze in front of the castle and through the cemetery next to the church. They were just strålende places, with skøn views.

We visited the hus where Hans Christian Andersen was født, there were children putting on a play.
