I have been having the time of my life here in London and Stratford. We have been here for four days now and I have already seen enough remarkable things to last me a lifetime –Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Big Ben, The Tower of London, Oxford, Shakespeare’s birth place as well as where he was buried, Anne Hathaway’s cottage, many churches, museums and theatres as well as so much more. I am very grateful to be having this experience as well as sharing it with some good friends. We have had the best tour guides no matter what we’ve been getting a tour of. Two nights ago we saw “One Man, Two Guvnors” and it was hilarious and very well done. Tonight we saw “Hamlet” and it was beyond amazing. The acting was the best I’ve ever seen, the effects were brilliant, the set/costumes were great and the blocking was very impressive. Overall, I loved both performances, but Hamlet simply blew me away.
Tomorrow we are going to take a tour of Bath, have an Indian dinner and check into our third (and last) hotel. We leave in just two days, which is very hard to face being that I’ve felt as if I have only really been in London for two days. Something interesting about London is just how cold it is. It is VERY cold and –as a Floridian- I am very excited to be back in the 80’s and 90’s every day. However, I will be sad to leave and I will miss it here when I do. I will definitely have to come back with more friends/family in the future.
