Reflections and Gratitude – Spain 2016

fThis has truly been a once-in-a-life time opportunity for me and a challenge as well. I I loved the cultural experience of living with a family that “no hablan Ingles”, and enjoyed lessons in the classroom and found the diverse culture and history in the activities that were offered as part of our routine to be an eye-opener that gave me a more diversified and enriched view of the culture of Spain. The historic edifice of the buildings and monuments are beyond belief, and to see that these original buildings from the 1200, 1400, 1600 are still standing today in their original form and shape are just magnificent and are a national treasure.  The cathedrals, Iglesias, (churches) monuments, etc. are just awesome and elegant, and I could stand and listen to the church bells ring all day because the sound of them ring is music beyond imagination.   I toured many cathedral and churches and took pictures of them, the art, and statues, and architecture is truly amazing for what was accomplished more than 3 or 4 hundred years ago.
