We are so blessed with everything we have, after going out and visiting the schools and teaching education to children from the age of two all the way up to 12 years old really made me think how well we have it here in the US. These children would go to class everyday without air conditioning open classrooms, lack of school supplies and more than half of them didn’t even have shoes on. Without much access to things these children were the happiest children I’ve ever seen, when we went up and read a little story on why its so important to keep you teeth healthy and clean all the children were very attentive and never once interrupted. I was so shocked on how educated these children were on dental hygiene home care. They already knew that you need to be brushing your teeth twice a day for two minutes and to any dental hygienist/ student this makes your heart happy. After every child received a toothbrush they all had these smiles on their face that I will never forget, something so small that people in the US take for granted these children are so thankful for (who knows this could be the only toothbrush they will receive for possibly years). I will never forget my experience in Jamaica and all the good we did! Can’t wait to go back.

Hey everyone, we made it to Jamaica and have been crazy busy.
On Sunday we got to take a ride out to each of our clinics and set up everything to get ready for the week.
We have met so many great people and now friends and it’s not even half way over yet!
This is a trip of a lifetime and we have learned so much!
